But you mustn't stop there. You must look up each insurance company you're considering it. Check with the Better Business Bureau, and check with your state's "Bureau of Insurance' or whatever they call it. "Bureau of Insurance," "Insurance Department," and so on.

Both the Better Business Bureau and your state's insurance watchdog department allow you to look up various insurance companies and see what their ratings are - do they pay claimants on time, are they in danger of going bankrupt, etc. (Insurance companies are franchises, just like restaurants. One may go out of business in your state, but be strong in all other states.)

That's why there's a lot more factors to consider than just, "Which company offers the cheapest premium for me."

Just like with cars, van models are generally insured at different rates. High end vans cost more to repair and replace than low end vans, and so your insurance premium will be higher. How far you drive the van on a regular basis is a factor, as is where you live.
